Winner of the 2003 Intercontinental Open is the 21 years old Italian Andrea Zanini (photo).

He started his final round from 4th rank and his chances seemed to be gone after a double-bogey on hole 2.

But with birdies on 4, 5 and 6 he fought back and on to the leaderboard again.

Further birdies on holes 10, 13 and 17 and an eagle on 13 gave him the lead and his first victory on the Briko Alps Tour.

The two Frenchmen Sarel Son Houi and Philippe Lima finished second and third with Son Houi carding 66, the lowest score of the final day.
