Rowe leads in stormy day

It's the kind of nightmare a tournament director doesn't want to live. Storms, lightening and all players of the afternoon draw in the club house instead of being on course. Renald Meunier had to stop the game in the middle of the afternoon in Dijon. From 15h30 to 18h45, it was a long, long wait.
Lucky they were today to play in the morning. Englishman, Phil Rowe, shot 65 before thunderstorms. 9 birdies and 2 bogeys. Two stokes behind, last week winner, Julien Grillon.
First round to resume tomorrow.

After more than 3 hours delay, play is to resume at 18h45 until darkness. Some more players will finish tonight.

First Trophy for Grillon

He did it ! Julien Grillon from France has won his first victory at the Uniqa Open in Austria. Clemens Prader was to fare to make the left hand player worry. He finished second 5 strokes behind.
Grillon : "I ve played better and better, round after round. I kept on beeing focused on my game and I 've made no mistake. I ve holed a great 10 meter putt for eagle on 7th then I waited for birdies... This is good for my season but I have to do that the rest of the year !"
Smart behaviour, the ex-rookie has learn a lot and knows now to be patient.
